Warm memory

Dear Fr. Peter,

It was with sorrow-filled hearts that   we learned of the passing of your loving mother Margaret.

We count ourselves fortunate to have met and interacted with her on several occasions. The first time was at your family cottage in Port Elgin. It was truly extraordinary how she welcomed us, mere stragers at the time.Her warmth and down to earth manner put us at ease and made us feel like family. I recall thinking to myself,"This is one classy lady. " The next day this same sentiment was expressed by my wife Eleanor, when Margaret invited her to tour some of the beautiful gardens in Port Elgin and Southampton .It was following that aesthetic outing that Eleanor shared with me the novel  experience she had in being introduced to "high tea".The conversation was not unlike that shared by a loving mentor and an eager student.

Margaret truly was and we believe she still is a wonderfully caring lady.
