Obituary for Vickie Lynn Koebel (Petrie)

Vickie Lynn Koebel (Petrie)
Victoria Lynn Koebel (Petrie), 56 – Kitchener On.
March 30, 1960 – March 18, 2017

While at home on the early hours of March 18th Vicki peacefully joined her father Gary Petrie in heaven, her beloved husband Dan and daughter Chantelle by her side. The world is a lesser place without the beautiful smile and contagious glow that Vicki brought to everyone around her. After a courageous fight with cancer Vicki’s body could not continue but her spirit lives on within her family and friends. Selfless till the very end, Vicki never wanted friends and family to be saddened by her illness. In honour of Vicki’s wishes there will not be a traditional funeral but rather her family welcomes friends to a celebration of life memorial.
Vicki will be forever cherished by her mother Marilyn Petrie and joins her late spouse Gerry Black. She is survived by her husband Dan Koebel originally of Bridgeport, her daughter Chantelle Buhr (Steffan), son in law Erick, grandchildren Annycka and Beau. Son, Sean Koebel and grandchildren, Kya, Keaton and Kayden.
Sorely missed by her brother, sister in-law and nephew; Steve, Mitzie and David. Brother and niece; Mike and Ashley. Sister, brother in-law and nieces; Valerie, Heinz, Nichole and Sara.
Vicki will be remembered as the daughter in-law of Mary and the late Gerald Koebel and their family.
A loss to close friends Mary Harding, David Parrot and the entire MTD Kitchener team.
Celebration of life Memorial will take place on Saturday, May 13th from 12-4 p.m.m at the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans club. #2-408 Gage Ave. Kitchener On.
