Obituary for Ken Watamanuk

Ken Watamanuk
Watamanuk, Ken:
I held you in my arms, I pressed my heart against yours and kissed you one last time. On September 27 our much loved husband, father, papa passed away peacefully, at his home upon his wishes, after a valiant battle with cancer, leaving us with broken hearts and millions of memories. Ken, age 72, is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jo Anne, his son, Chris and wife Anita, daughter, Brooke and husband Cory McRae and his three precious granddaughters, Reese and Drew Watamanuk and Whitney McRae. Also left to miss him are his siblings, Pat and Pattie Watamanuk, Judy and Bob Sernoskie, and in-laws, Deb and Arnold Weavers, Dennise and Ron Barth, Iris Ward, Jeffrey Ward and their families.

We had the good fortune of our family doctor, Dr. C. Johansen, who guided us through this medical journey and made weekly visits to our home and spent many hours sharing stories with Ken. Ken loved his life, his family and his friends and left this world with no regrets.

Ken's family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Sharing of memories will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by a reception.

Rather than a donation or flowers, we would ask you to share an act of kindness, as Ken himself did every day.
