Obituary for Joan Verna Nolan (Hall)

Joan Verna Nolan (Hall)
Nolan, Joan (Nee Hall)

Passed away peacefully at the age of 76, surrounded by family on Saturday July 27, 2019 at The Village at University Gates.

Loving mother to Connelly Nolan and Carmel (Jason) Henry. Proud Grandmother to Riley and Hayden Henry. Joan was a dear sister to Carmel Hawkins and will always be remembered by Connelly Sr., nieces, nephews, relatives and her extended family.
Joan was a strong-willed woman who achieved many of her goals but mostly she was a dedicated, hardworking taxi-cab owner/operator of car #31 at Waterloo Taxi for over 35 years. She was known as ‘Joanie’ by her family, friends and care-partners at University Gates.

Joan will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for her vibrant personality and infectious laugh.

The family would like to thank the staff at University Gates – Hagey Village for their unending care and compassion.

Cremation has taken place and the family will plan a celebration of life at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Schlegel Village Charitable Foundation – University Gates (Hagey Village) would be appreciated.
