Obituary for Hermann Heise

HEISE, Hermann August Frederick Joseph

Passed away peacefully, with his children by his side, on Monday, September 3, 2018 in his 90th year.

Hermann was born on September 29, 1928, in Hannover, Germany. He married his loving wife, Sigrid on June 5, 1948 and they began their life journey together. Hermann and Sigrid immigrated to Canada in 1953. Hermann was a proud and adoring father to his children and their spouses, Roy and Katrina Heise, and Wendy and Craig Trask. He will be deeply missed by his four granddaughters, Courtney Beatty (Eric Morton) and Kristen Beatty (Kris McIntyre), Megan and Amy Heise, whom he loved so much.

He also leaves behind his two beautiful great-grandsons, Sean Kayden and Charlie, whose sweet young lives brought him special joy. He will also be missed by his extended family of Hans, Sharlene and Clare, whose love was a special gift.

Hermann is survived by two brothers, Klaus (Martha) and Werner. He is predeceased by his wife Sigrid, three sisters, Gerta, Ruth, and Ingrid, sister-in-law, Sonja and brothers-in-law, Jupp and Winfried.

He has returned to Heaven where he belongs, and will continue to love us all from afar.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 322 East Avenue, Kitchener. Family and friends are welcome to stay for a reception at the church after the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Village Care Centre, where he was able to enjoy the last part of his life, which included his very dear and close friend, Carrie Fillier. Donations may be made at the Henry Walser Funeral Home or at the church on the day of the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Grand River Hospital for their kindness and compassion. It helped us through this very difficult time. Visit www.henrywalser.com to view Hermann's memorial.
