Lasso, Donald:
Surrounded by his family, Don passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at his home at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of 63 years to Jeanette. Loving father of Brock (Kelly), David, Chris, Mark (Steve) and father-in-law of Linda Lasso. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Kevin, Nikki (Ryan), Corey (Jamie), Joshua, Jordan, Adam, Mark and his great-grandson Liam. Dear brother of Dorothy Hummel and brother-in-law of William Young.
Predeceased by his son Kurt (2016) and great-grandson Kieran (2016) and his parents Perlous and Grace Lasso.
Don was a lifetime and faithful member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. He was a former member of the Waterloo Probus Club, the Rotary Club and was affiliated with Not for Profit local housing boards and the K-W Y's Mens Club for the YMCA camps for many years.
Don's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 116 Queen St., Kitchener, on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 1 p.m. Reception will follow the service in the church hall. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Mental Health Unit of the Grand River Hospital would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
