Mansz, Evelyn Jean (nee Brubacher):
Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, in the presence of her family, on Saturday, January 27th, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Edward of 65 years, who are together again. Loving mother of Sharon Szmkowski (Gary). Much loved Grandma to Wayne Szymkowski (Miya), Melissa Szymkowski (Shawn Brent), Jennifer Mansz, James Mansz (Kerrianne), and Helen Alvero. Great-Grandma to Lilianna and Eva. Dear sister of Lorne Brubacher, Russel Brubacher, and Wayne Brubacher (Sylvia). Predeceased by her brother Howard. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. She dedicated most of her life to volunteering and was always involved with her community. In her spare time she tended to her roses with her dear husband, Edward.
Evelyn's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 1st, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 and from 10 am- 10:45 am on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church, 247 Westmount Road E. Kitchener, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Faith Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
