The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Such wonderful memories I have of Muriel in the Mayor's office during Sid McLennan's time. I had my first job/position of "importance" working in Personnel as a steno-clerk and was fondly named by Muriel as one of her little flowers supporting her when an extra hand was in need. There was no messing-up for Muriel! Indeed a challenge. I can recall Muriel as an individual I most aspired to be as I set out on my 41 year career. Thank you Muriel for your inspiration.
