Rampersad, Winston Ranjit:

Winston Ranjit Rampersad, 67, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Innisfree House in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada after his battle with cancer. Winston was born to Alfred Joseph and Jane Rampersad (Koomar) on June 15, 1950 in Penal, Trinidad where he was raised and attended Penal Presbyterian Elementary School and Naparima College. He migrated to Canada in 1972 where he and his then wife, Rosalind Rampersad raised their two sons, Joseph (Sharon Booy) and Kevin (Carrie Taylor) and a daughter, Alysha (Lionel Patrick). Beloved grandfather to Terrance and Samantha Patrick, Sasha, Ayja and Suri Rampersad. Winston leaves behind his partner Anne Lowe, and is celebrated by his siblings: Vilma (Claude Ramcharan), Kenneth (Mattie), Kathleen (Mike Slisko), Phyllis Erdos, Carl (Yvonne) and Dennis (Nel), as well as his many nieces and nephews, cousins and treasured friends.

Winston's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday, February 23rd, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday. February 24th, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.

Many thanks to the staff and volunteers of Innisfree House for their kind and loving care of Winston and his family during his five week stay. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to this exceptional facility or the Grand River Hospital Foundation- Cancer Centre (cards available at the funeral home).
