Fun with Uncle Jack

I have had many favourite memories of Uncle Jack over the years.  But I would like to share two with everyone.

One fond memory was from my younger years and before Kim was born.  Living in Oakville, we were fortunate to see Uncle Jack and Aunt Gloria often. I still have memories of their Oakville home which was not too far away from what would be our eventual high school, White Oaks Secondary.  While we were in elementary school, Uncle Jack and Aunt Gloria would take the Fernback Boys (sorry Ron you were not around at this time) to the CNE / Ontario Place during the summer when the CNE was in full force.  We would really look forward to this day, not only because it was a fun day riding roller coasters and eating fried food (heck I even loved watching the guy selling knives that would spend all day slicing and dicing vegetables to a crowd) but it was alot of fun to spend time with our fun loving uncle and aunt who were sometimes more like an older brothers and sister to us.  Sorry mom and dad, you two were not the roller coaster type.  I will always remember these full & fun filled days in the summer.

Another memory of Jack that I have to laugh each time I think of it has to do with his 1/2 finger.  He would always have a finger related joke at the the ready for us.  "Give me 4 and a half" instead of "Give me 5" he would say for a high five.  Then Uncle Jack would have a big grin on his face.  Sometimes it was hard to see depending on the size of his Tom Seleck inspired moustache.

Miss you Uncle Jack.

XOXOXO
Tim
