Dear Sharon, Rob, Richard, Maureen and Brian, You have my most heartfelt condolences on the sudden death of our dear Francis, who was a partner, father and friend to all of us. At times like this, it's difficult to express one's feelings. However, my being here, in Ireland, at present, where there is a proverb or a toast for everything, gave me the idea of sharing a couple of these with you. To begin with, here is a little poem that I hope will comfort you: Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal. And a toast that I think would have made Francis chuckle: May you be in Heaven a full half hour before the Devil knows you’re dead. Much love, Jim
