The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Kenneth Gawthorn can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: The world has lost a great hero and human being. Ken was a dear friend of my dad and our family - I often think of our great golf games and all the laughs we shared - thank you for being such a wonderful person and making our world a better place to live in! A true example of a Canadian hero!

Condolence: What a dear and special man, Ken was!!
He was the most loyal parade veteran, always there!
He was always ready & willing to help a veteran or a veteran's wife.
At his church, St James'-Rosemount United,Kitchener, he was always available to work and contribute, so cheerfully. When it was garage sale time, I could ALWAYS depend on Ken for help carrying and setting up! He worked endlessly and always cheerfully. He has earned his rest. Go in peace, Dear Ken.
