The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Cash Vandeberg can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

First Meeting

My daughters had just been placed with us (for adoption) and were about to meet Cash for the first time. Cash was 7 yrs old and my daughters 8 & 10. We got to Diane, Marc and Cash’s house in Mississauga for an afternoon outing. As we were all piling into Diane’s van, (which had been cleverly altered for travels to Florida) my youngest was having difficulty with the seat belt. Cash quickly announced “Here Haley, let me help you with that” and got her safely secured for the drive. He did this without prompting. It was an act of a gentle man even at such a young age. Thank you for being you.
