The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Horst Arndt can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Wayne and Lorna Lyttle

There are just no words, Anne Marie, that can say how truly sorry we are to hear the news of Horst's passing. He was just a wonderful man and the world is a better place for having him here. We remember the happy days of our Supper Club and of singing while Horst played the guitar, of our trips to Kitchener to celebrate Octoberfest and of laughing until we hurt into the wee hours of the night. Our daughters remember the laughter, too, from their hiding spot at the top of the stairs. We had a lot of fun! Then, as the years went by and we would see each other again, it was like we never missed a beat - just like old times again. We miss him already and can only imagine how you and Krista and Susan feel right now. We wish we could be there to help support you through this difficult time. Time will help with the tears but he will never be forgotten!
