Condolence: i was saddened to hear of Tom's passing. i worked as a renal nurse with him for over 30 years. He was fully dedicated to the patients, program, and staff. I remember him taking pictures of our humble unit on Green st. to push for a new unit in the main hospital. He would sometimes bring his 4 young girls into the hospital on a saturday and they would patiently wait while he did his patient rounds. In the early years,he and Levy would host staff parties at his home.He was always so welcoming, fun and funny.Often he would come into the unit addressing "girls, girls, girls" and his famous line "press on". I will miss him.

Condolence: Dear Levy,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish I could be there for you. We go back a long way...to the Wellesley ICU Where you met! 3MICU. We all adored Tommy and his Australian accent but it was Levy that caught his eye! But we cherished our visits in Waterloo over the years when we were home in Ontario. And I remember when you brought newborn Marissa to London to see me. Tom's love for his girls was so wonderful to see. We will see you soon. Hugs. Lel

Condolence: Hello family of Dr. liu.

Tom was a good doctor, a great man and one of my most beloved role models. Though I only knew him for a year, his influence and wisdom will continue to inspire me and give me hope knowing good people like him can bring happiness in a crazy world. I will always remember the moments we had. Every visit I had with him left me with a smile, and though his passing is sad news, it makes me happy knowing we could share the best of moments together. Good men like him come once in a while, and I am sure everyone who has had the honour of being with him appreciated his company. Levy, Theresa and all other family and friends of Dr. Tom Liu, I wish you all well. May he rest in peace and love.

Condolence From: Bob and Wendy Hardcastle
Condolence: We are deeply saddened by the loss of a great man. The Father of my friend, a loving husband, a proud Grandfather, a leader in the community, and a man who could always put a smile on your face. I had the great honour to get to know Dr. Liu through Marissa and her Family and also to deal with him on a working level. I am so grateful that I had this time to learn about his passions not only at work but personally with his Family. As a Family you have many beautiful memories to share and I will never forget his kindness. Please accept our sincere condolences.

I truly great, gifted and giving man has left us. I met Dr. Liu through work but he was more than a colleague he was a friend. He treated me like family and he was always willing to help. Full of ideas in making renal care better. He loved his family and was very proud of their accomplishments. I am so sorry for your loss.

Condolence From: Rosemary Bland
Condolence: Dear Levy and Family,
I was sorry to read of Tom's passing in today's Globe and Mail. I recall when when you and Tom met at the Wellesley Hospital where you and I nursed in the ICU in the early 1970's. It was a delightful to watch your love for each other blossom. I always remember him as a kind and caring man.
Tom obviously made a significant contribution to the Grand River Hospital and the patients he cared for and clearly he was a devoted, loving husband and father.
Levy, please know that my thoughts are with you.
Rosemary
