The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Catherine Atchison can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

I don't know if I should be crying or celebrating as I know Cathy is in a good place now, and she is no longer in pain, and there is no more need to stay up all night to find more interesting cures to try. I am really happy to have known you Cathy, you had a great sense of humour and a strong work ethic. You made a good life for your kids and even if you were abit strict at times, they knew you loved them. I know Seth really had a good time going to Jungle Cat World camp with Chris when they were young. Thanks for the many times you invited us over for dinner and a swim, and we talked about anything and everything, and it was always a fun time. I tried to encourage you often to go do something on that list of "I wish I did that" but you didn't lie to spend money, so I don't think you ever did anything just for yourself. Cathy's biggest worry was that Chris and Nat would not be looked after if she had to leave them. She wanted them to get a good education and get meaningful jobs so they could look after themselves well. She was able to realize that dream and it was all she ever wanted. Cathy had many lives it seemed as she kept defying the odds with this cancer, I had really thought she could live to receive a cure, but it didn't quite happen. But, our dear Cathy, you can rest now, knowing that your dream for your children came true. We will miss you here but look forward to seeing you again on the other side one day. Karin and Seth
