Opa, It's been a few years since you've passed. At the time before you passed on, I wanted to visit you but you're time was up. Life works in mysterious ways. I know you and Dad never had the best relationship. Being your only grandchild, I wanted to see you and forgive you everything that's happened in the family because deep down inside, I'll always love you, you're my Opa and always will be. I'm A Doerner. If I could have the chance to hold your hand and share so many stories about me growing, I would. Dad did a good job raising me. Yes, he had his bad days but he didn't give up on me. Until his sudden death in 2012 and you had feeling what he did, he couldn't take anymore pain. Life has been tough for Mom and I for the past 9 years. Haven't heard anything at all from Aunt Betty. Uncle John sends me gift cards which makes me still feel connected to the family. I hope you're at peace and having good conversations with Oma and Dad.
