After a brave and courageous battle with cancer, Peter peacefully passed away on Monday, May 16th at home at the age of 64, surrounded by family.
Loving husband of Gabriele Palubiski (nee Rothammer) for 44 years. Proud father of Dionne Felder (Roy), Dan Palubiski (Megan) and Natalie Hatt (Charles). Devoted grandpa of Payton and Hudson Felder, and excited to learn about the arrival of baby Hatt and baby Felder this fall. Brother of David Palubiski (Winnie). Survived by his mother-in-law Thea Rothammer and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Agnes Palubiski, his sister LeeAnn, brother-in-law Gordon Dennis and father-in-law Karl Rothammer. Peter proudly served his community as a member of the Kitchener Fire Department, retiring after 28.5 years of dedicated service. From an early age Peter had a passion for the great outdoors. This led him to his hobbies of hunting and fishing, which he enjoyed with his many friends and family.
Peter's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's R.C. Church (56 Duke St. W., Kitchener) on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. A reception will follow at the Henry Walser Funeral Home. Interment to take place at St. Joseph's cemetery, Kingsbridge at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Joseph's Kingsbridge Community would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
