Duane made an positive impact on me, and I am certain on others too, in shared learning in classes we took together at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary. His positivity in the face of anticipating death was a strong witness to Christ's grace and to the unconditional support he received from his family, friends and faith community. We will all miss him.
