The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Harold Clements can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

"old" friends

My first introduction to Harold came in 1963 when I transferred from the Dovercourt Corps to the Wychwood Corps in toronto. Wychwood asked me if I'd come and be the bandmaster which as a young 23 year old I agreed to do. Harold was playing bass in the band and he was a good bass player. Harold became a good friend along with Peggy and we often visited their home for a cup of coffee and bought some meat at Harold's butcher shop. I've played golf with Harold over the years and was happy to spend some time with Harold and Peggy in Florida in later years. He did a great job every year getting the golfing booth ready and manning it for the Men's Club sale. He found me a set of clubs and bag and cart and sold it to me for an old friend discount. I'm still using them in Florida. A great guy. Always had a big smile and a warm hand shake and a story to tell. He'll be missed by us and by all of the friends who knew him. Our love and prayers to Peggy.
