Always in My Heart

Mom, I don't even know where to begin. There are so many things that I could say. I could sit here all night and not even scratch the surface of who you were, what you gave to me and what you meant to me. God could not have given me a better mother; someone who loved her family unconditionally at all times, someone who was always proud of her family even if we didn't really deserve it, someone who gave so much of herself and yet expected so little in return, someone who was a bright light and inspiration not only to your family but to everyone whose life you touched. I just can't imagine what my life is going to be like without you in it. Yet, I know that in a most special way, you are and will be a part of my life as long as I live. Every time I look at my daughters Rebecca and Kristy, you will be there. Every time I hug my beautiful granddaughter Starryn, you will be there. At the end of this year when my second grandchild arrives, you will be there. My heart is breaking and yet it is also full of love and gratitude. I want to celebrate your life and the person that you were instead of only mourning my loss. I know that you are happy now mom, finally to be reunited with my father Eugene after so many years apart. I am going to do my very best to live the rest of my life with you as my shining example and I only hope that when my time comes to make the final journey, I will have made you proud of me. I will always love you and I will never forget you mom. You will be always be in my heart and in my thoughts. Love Mary
