Geffros, Catherine (nee Hinsperger):
Passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the age of 95. Loving wife of the late Eugene Geffros. Loved mother of Jim (Paulette), Mike (Cora) and Mary Emptage (Norm). Proud grandmother of Tom, Vanessa, Joe, Lisa, Chris, Scott, Kellie, Rebecca, Kristy and 19 great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughters at birth, Yvonne and twins Pauline and Paulette, sons Bill and John, brothers Carl and Bill and sisters Mary Anne and Colette. Catherine was a lifelong active member of St. Mary’s Parish in Kitchener, particularly involved in the CWL. For many years she volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital. Catherine’s passions of life were her family and friends, her Church and most sports, especially hockey and her beloved Kitchener Rangers. Catherine’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519 749-8467 on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm with parish prayers at 8:30 pm. Prayers will also be offered at the funeral home on Saturday July 14, 2012 at 9:30 am followed by a procession to St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 56 Duke St.,W, Kitchener for a Funeral Mass at 10 am. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to KidsAbility or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
