Strassburger, Albert Roland
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, after his courageous battle with heart and lung disease on Friday, April 26, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Stevens) Strassburger for 53 years. Loving father of Kathy Strassburger (Lorell Reoch), Christine Smith (Andy) all of Waterloo and Derek Strassburger (Shari) of Kitchener. Dear grandfather of Jason Ford, Justin and Jessica Smith and Nicholas and Cameron Strassburger, Brandon and Alysia Reoch. Dear brother of Morgan (Grace), Audrey Arnold, Barbara (Dave) Main, Eleanor (Dieter) Herkert, Ruby Kurt (Larry), Karon Strassburger (Lorraine), Clifford (Kathy), Robert (Janice) and Debbie (Tom) Sperling. Dear brother-in-law of Anne Strassburger. Brother-in-law of Jim Stevens (Sharon) and Wayne Stevens (Pat). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by his brother Dennis (2010) and his sister Marjorie (Wayne) Thompson (2012) and his parents Morgan and Estella (nee Luft) Strassburger.

Albert had a long time involvement with Guelph Royalaires Drum and Bugle Corp, the Ventures Drum and Bugle Corp and a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Former owner of Strassburger Windows and Doors.

Albert's family will receive family and friends at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 49 Queen Street North, Kitchener from 10:00 am until 10:45 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. A celebration of Albert's life services will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday at the church with Pastor Mark Ehlebracht officiating. Followed by a reception at the church. Cremation has taken place
