Obituary for Beverley Foley

Beverley Foley
Foley, Beverley June Lenor (nee Goldie)
It is with hearts filled with love, sadness and wonderful cherished memories that we share the news of the passing of our Wife, Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma at home on Thursday December 8th, 2011, in her 71st year. Born June 2nd, 1941. Bev was a devoted wife of Noel for 51 years. Bev was the loving mother of Cynthia and her husband Raymond of Kitchener and Catherine and her husband Allen of Kitchener. Cherished Grandma of Adam, Lenore and Nathan. Great Grandma of baby Ashton. She will be dearly missed by her devoted dog, Max. Also survived by her step father William Dinsmore, her sisters Flo and her husband Dave, Debbie and her husband Bill, Sharon, Bonnie and many Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Leonard Goldie and Coralie Dinsmore as well as her sister Ruth.
Bev was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She was a Past President of the Kinette Club of K-W and a volunteer with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Bev endured many years of poor health with strength, patience and dignity. She never complained and was forever optimistic that she would prevail over her many illnesses. Everyone who knew Bev loved her. Her family and friends gave her unconditional love and support over the years to help her bear the battle with her health.
Bev was a vibrant, cheerful lady with a sweet musical laugh. Despite all her health tribulations, Bev always found the goodness within herself and others. She loved to share life, laughter and good times with those she loved and we with her. Her greatest joy was the times spent with her grandchildren. The recent birth of her first great-grandson was a dream come true for her.
Bev had a flair for fashion and a passion for crafts. Shopping was one of her joys; especially with her daughters. She loved to travel, two of her favourite destinations being Florida and Las Vegas. On January 28th 2011, Bev and Noel celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Mom spoke often of wanting to renew their vows for their 50th anniversary. Dad surprised Mom by arranging a sunset renewal ceremony at a beautiful chapel in Las Vegas, attended by close family and friends.
Mom, we love and miss you. Bev, our moments together are cherished, more than you ever knew. I will love you forever.
Bev’s relatives and friends will be received from 12 noon until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener (519-749-8467).
