Obituary for William David Fletcher

Fletcher, Bill

April 26, 1971 - December 22, 2020

William (Bill) David Fletcher, passed away suddenly at his home December 22, 2020 at the age of 49.

Beloved son of Betty Strohoff and predeceased by his father Raymond Fletcher and Step father John Strohoff. Loving father to Sasha Silva. Cherished friend to Paula Silva. Dear brother of Daryle Fletcher (Dawn), Tammy Fletcher-Ritza and Tracy Fletcher. Dedicated uncle to Mike, Ryan, Lauren, and Daryle Jr. Scooter is keeping watch at the door for his master.

We were so blessed to have had you in our lives. Everywhere you went you always knew how to light up the room and get everyone laughing.

We will miss that wonderful smile of yours and those many contagious laughs you had. Always the best time and great vibes around you, no matter what was going on.

You loved horror movies, and Halloween was the day you looked forward to the most. We could always count on going to your place at any time of year and still have the feeling of Halloween around us with all the decorations you accumulated over the years.

You were a passionate musician, with incredible taste in music. Black Sabbath: Master of Reality was your favourite album. When you were young you could always name any band that was playing and knew all the members by name. What a music lover you were.

You knew how to shred a guitar, rock on the drums and get the crowd hyped up. You played by ear, no music notes required! You had one hell of a guitar collection.

You were far too young to leave us, the same age as your father, when he passed. We know how much you loved him by the way you spoke about him.

We take comfort knowing you are now with your father and no longer in pain. Heaven just gained a rockstar up there - never stop jamming.

We love and miss you so much. Rest in paradise, forever in our hearts.

Until we meet again.

Private cremation has taken place and a memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
