Christey Sr., William:
Passed away suddenly, at his home at the age of 72, with family by his side, on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Beloved husband of Vilma for 49 years. Loving dad to Garnet (Aklima), Carlton, Brenetha Rose, William Jr. (Teresa), Fitzroy (Michelle) and Tyrone (Maria). Cherished Papa to Dominic, Jaedon, Melis, Taleah, Tyanna, Kalila, Quentin, Stevie, Eli, Serenity, Ellie and Ezekiel. Dear brother of Ermine, Lloyd and Gladstone, Marlene, Judith, Peggy, Mary. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and brothers, Jim and Ken.
William's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the International Gospel Centre, 35 Charles St. E. Kitchener. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Trillium Gift of Life would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
