Condolence: It's been one year since the passing of my father.

Thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts and memories of Dad. It's been a tough year, especially with Covid-19.

I think about him every day, his sense of humour, love of music and sports. He was truly unique and a wonderful father.

I want to share some thoughts I've recieved from others recently.

From my mum:

I cannot really remember a time when he was not part of my adult life. He enjoyed Tennis, shuffle board and bocci. He
always won! Wayne was full of fun and a decent and kind man. He possessed a quick wit and a good sense of humour. Loved dogs and enjoyed long walks on the trails.
Wayne will be dearly missed and forever in my heart!
Carole

From my Auntie Jan:

It’s very hard to believe that a year has passed since we lost Wayne. Because of the pandemic we couldn’t grieve together. No stories were shared. No hugs allowed. Just a terrible sad time. Wayne was one of the good guys. He will never be forgotten.

Condolence: Dear Aunt Shirley and family. I am so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I did send you an email, but am not sure you received it, and have been out of the country for a bit too, so I am sorry this is a bit late getting to you all. Although I did not know Wayne very well, he always seemed like a very kind person, and mom always enjoyed when the two of you came to visit her in Oliphant. Again, sincere condolences, and I hope to see you at the celebration of life in April.

Condolence: Derek, Shirley and family sad to hear of Waynes passing. He was always so special to us growing up. When at Mum and Dads home (Gwen and Mickeys) the Galt gang would come and play their instruments. We would sing and dance, wonderful memories! My sister Diane and I thought he was the nicest, most handsome man, had a little crush on him as teenagers! He would drop by often to see us, show us his new car. Always enjoyed seeing Wayne and Shirley, such a super couple! He was a gentleman! Our condolences to all.

Condolence: It’s going to take a long time for me to process that Wayne has passed. I can’t really remember a time that he wasn’t part of my adult life. Wayne was a fun-loving, fine and decent man and had a quick wit and good sense of humour. I am so glad we were able to spend an afternoon together last July. It’s going to be a great loss.

Condolence: Dear Derek and Shirley. Words fail us when we lose someone let alone a father and a partner. Wayne was a truly lovely person and we will never forget him. He was a very warm, thoughtful person a gentleman and I’m grateful to have known him. I’m so glad that Wayne and Shirley visited Carole and I last summer as well as Derek and Peter and Garry and Linda. We had a lovely afternoon together and I’ll always be so grateful for that memory. Below is a picture taken on that special day. Again my heartfelt sympathy.
