Obituary for Wanda Herta Kappeler (Lemke)

Wanda Herta Kappeler (Lemke)
Kappeler, Wanda:

It is with heavy hearts that the Kappeler family announces the passing of Wanda Kappeler at Innisfree House at the age of 77.

Wanda was born in Batagen, Lithuania and moved to Canada in 1950, where she was married to her beloved husband Gerhard in 1961. Wanda lived a blessed life of great adventure, having the privilege to travel across the globe with her husband to visit many people and places of great beauty. Above all however, Wanda's life was one which was filled with countless friendships and immense joy. Wanda touched the hearts of many in a charitable and helpful way. With this her beauty will be forever remembered, and will continue to live on in all of us.

Wanda was predeceased by her parents, Karl and Erna Lemke, and her infant brother, Albie. Treasured by all who had the chance to love her, and will be dearly missed by her husband Gerhard "Dick", her three sons, Gary (Mary), Daniel, and Robert, and her three grandchildren, Cole, Chase, and Paige. Will be sorrowfully missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Wanda's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11 a.m. Officiating Rev. Gilvan de Azevedo. Reception to follow.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Innisfree House, Grand River Hospital Foundation and St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
