Kurtes, Vera:
Passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Forest Heights Long Term Care at the age of 91. Loving mother to Branko (Rena) and Jelena (Petar). Cherished Baba to Sean (Jen), Debbie (Sasha), Rada (Frixos) and great Baba to Aleksandra, Anastasia, Kaidyn, Jayna and Michael. She will be remembered by her nephews, Feri and Branko and niece, Irena all in Croatia. Predeceased by her husband, Milan, and sisters, Klara and Marcia.
Vera's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Pomen at 7:00 p.m.) on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Opelo will be held at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 665 King St. North Waterloo, on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery followed by a reception at the Henry Walser Funeral Home.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
