Obituary for Toby James Lessard

Lessard, Toby:

Toby passed away unexpectedly at his home in Kitchener at the age of 48.

Beloved son of Sue and Jim Lessard. Dear brother of Tyler Lessard and Dawn McPhail. Loving uncle to Amelie, Alec, William, and Juliette. Caring doggy dad to his canine son Harley and friend to all who had the pleasure to meet him.

His generous nature, overflowing compassion, kind heart and infectious sense of humour were known to all who had the good fortune of being a part of his life. Special mention to Jason Britton, Brent Weber, his wonderful co-workers, and his crew of amazing friends who were like family to him. He will be deeply missed by all.

Toby was an avid sports fan who dominated his baseball pool. At least, that's what he told us. In his glory days, he was a feared baseball pitcher, an avid goal scorer, and a pretty good euchre player. Most of all, he was a friend you could always count on.

Toby will be celebrated on Sunday April 23rd from 2-5pm at the Victoria Park Pavilion in Kitchener, Ontario. Please join Toby's family and friends to commemorate his life and legacy in true Toby style. Dress code will be casual, please no formal wear. Baseball jerseys and Raptors wear are strongly encouraged (with the exception of Yankees jerseys).

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Jays Care Foundation, operated by the Toronto Blue Jays, in memory of Toby are appreciated by the family.
