Obituary for Thomas John Langton

Langton, Thomas:

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas John Langton. He passed away at home with his family by his side after a year long battle with cancer.

Tom was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario. He also lived for many years in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia with his beautiful wife Lynn and two children Jimmy and Jennifer. As a family they travelled back to Kitchener in 1998 where he continued his career in the trucking industry. Tom dedicated 43 years to the trucking industry here in Kitchener and in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Predeceased by his parents Pauline and James “Jim” Langton, his son James “Jimmy” Langton and his sister Linda Langton.

Survived by his wife Anita “Lynn” Langton. His daughter Jennifer Grothen and her husband David Grothen. Grandchildren Caleb Langton, Atticus and Aurora Grothen, brother Mike Langton, and many family and friends from the East coast to the West coast of Canada . He was deeply loved and will be missed greatly by many.

Many thanks to the palliative care team that helped make it possible for us to keep him home with us and to the Grand River Cancer Center.

Tom's family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the funeral. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
