Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Freeport Hospital at the age of 95.
Beloved wife of the late Doug Jackson (1995).
Loving mother of Larry (Karen Yoworski) and Cameron (Diane).
Cherished grandma of Sarah (Derek), Ben (Morgan), Wesley (Chantal) and Michelle (Chris).
Great-grandma of Levi.
Will be remembered by her niece and nephews, Judi (Dave) Forbes, Craig (Tessa) Morris, and Gary (Janet) Hefel.
Predeceased by her twin sister, Mary.
Sue was proud of her career as a Registered Nurse at Grand River Hospital. She was an avid Kitchener Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays fan, and a longtime member of the Women's 5-pin Bowling League at Towne Bowl.
Thank you to Dr. Malhi and Dr. McCuaig for their care over the years. A special thank you to the 5th floor staff at Grand River Hospital, the 3rd floor staff at Freeport Hospital, Dr. Alex and her favourite nurse, Rosemary for the exceptional care and compassion in her final days.
A celebration of Sue's life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Larry and Karen's home. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation or Grand River Hospital Foundation - Freeport Health Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
