Steven Robert Sattler
September 14, 1975 – February 14, 2021
Steve passed away peacefully on February 14, 2021 at Grand River Hospital after suffering a devastating injury. He was surrounded by the love of his life and soulmate, Savannah, and his parents and sister.
Steve is survived by his parents, Bob and Marilyn, his sister Bobbi Jo Gourley (Jason) and brother Randy Schneider, and his fur-baby, Bailey.
Steve’s life, while too short, was filled with love, adventure, music and friendship. His easygoing nature, contagious smile and sincere kindness made him easy to love. The friendships he built were strong, and lifelong.
Steve poured his heart into his passions. In his 18 years with Savannah, they shared amazing adventures, travelling throughout the world and spoiling the dogs they rescued. He played guitar on stages small and large, opening for Canadian bands and playing smaller gigs for fun in local pubs. And he loved his work – owning and running Apollo Irrigation, spending his days doing what he loved with his best friend.
Steve leaves behind extensive family and friends whose lives have been touched by knowing him, and who miss him dearly.
Steve's family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2021 and Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener. Please note that if you plan to attend, masks are mandatory and you must RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467. A private family service will be held.
