Obituary for Steven Rabak

Print
Rabak, Steven

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Steven Rabak on May 2, 2020, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born on April 15, 1993, in Kitchener, Ontario, Steven was the beloved son of Sonja Cosic and Adrian (Glynda) Rabak. Steven was the loving brother of Michelle Rabak and stepbrother to Alicia Boorman (Mike) and Cory Stever (Katy).

Cherished by his grandmother “Baba” Ljuba Cosic and grandmother “Nona” Nela Rabak, uncle Milan Rabak, and cousins Sarah and Noah Rabak. Steven is predeceased by his grandfather “Deda” Aleksandar Cosic and grandfather “Nonu” Ivan Rabak. Steven will also be sadly missed by girlfriend Mathilda Bonek, Uncle Mario, Kaye and Fred (Frammy and Papa) and many extended family and friends.

From a young age, Steven is remembered as being a deeply caring, passionate, and dedicated person. It came as no surprise when Steven decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue a career in public service. After graduating from Conestoga’s Pre Fire program and receiving the Patient Care award, Steven was motivated to progress his career by enrolling in the Paramedic Program at Northern College. After completing his schooling, Steven began his career as a full time Firefighter with the Mississauga Fire Department, and later as a Paramedic with the Region of Waterloo. Many of his colleagues describe Steven as a hardworking professional who was devoted to helping others. His coworkers in Mississauga and Kitchener will remember his honourable service.
