The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Stephen Nevill can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I, too am shocked. Stephen came to work with my partner, Dave and I at the old Police College--C.O.Bick--many moons ago. Stephen had suffered a heart attack at a young age and was on light duties. He thought his "tour" with us would be a walk in the park, but alas it was not. He realized quickly how hard we worked teaching computer applications to members of the Service. He did us proud, supported us and learned a valuable life lesson, or so it seemed, mostly about the Civilian Branch of the Service and Instructors at the College. We, too learned from Stephen. I seem to recall he drove a Ford Ranger back then. My oldest daughter, Jennifer met Stephen when she came to visit me at work one time and fell in love, instantly! She thought he was very handsome...gentle and kind. When I hear or think "Adidas" I remember Stephen. I was sad for him when his marriage collapsed, and I tried to comfort him on occasion, while we sat together in a police facility where our paths had crossed again. Stephen was a true gentleman and as others have said so many times, in these posts I have read, Stephen was a positive spirit with great energy and a passion for life and living. I am glad to have known him and sad he passed so young. Condolences to all who knew and loved him. He will be missed! Carol Carpenter
