Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 66.
Beloved husband of Cathy Sadiwnyk.
Dear brother of Sophie Gaida (Michael).
Cherished uncle and Godfather of John Gaida (Jennifer Hillier) and great-uncle to Malachy and August Gaida.
Survived by his brother-in-law Donald Walaga (Tamara).
Will be deeply missed by his dear friends; Ron, Lois and Naomi Musselman and family, and Ivanka Luciw.
Last, but not least, he will be missed by his loyal companions; Latka and Mooshka.
Steve had a wonderful sense of humour and his jokes will be missed by all.
Steve's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Panahyda at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, 131 Victoria St. S., Kitchener, Ontario on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Myroslaw Tataryn officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Cremation to take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, Guardian Angels Ukraine or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
