Obituary for Shirley Elizabeth Hobbs (Hinrichs)

Hobbs, Shirley:
Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Monday, October 7th, 2019 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 80. Cherished wife of Nelson for 65 years. Loving Mother to Karen Tiffin (Stephen), Gary (Patricia), Ramona Hobbs-Beyerle (Peter), Darrell (Darlene) and the late David. Dearest Grandmother of Michael, Geoffrey (Lisa), Melissa (Adam), Amy (Steve), Courtney (Ben), Bradley and Katlyn and Great Grandmother of 10. Dear sister to Gordon. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as her beloved cat, Buddy. Predeceased by her parents, Ruby and Gordon and two sisters, Marie and Betty.
Shirley was a longtime employee at Hiway Market and a six year chairman of the WRPA campground.
Shirley's family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11th, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue from 12:30 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2019 followed by the Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Private family interment at Woodland Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
