Burke, Samuel:
Passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in Waterloo, ON at the age of 74. Beloved partner of Carol Murawsky. Dear brother of Cathy Carr (Dave). Predeceased by parents, Harry and Jean.
Sam was born in Grangemouth, Scotland and moved to Toronto in 1948, along with his parents. He attended Waterloo Collegiate, at the same time, starting a career as graphic artist. He joined Allprint Ainsworth where he worked as a graphic artist and designer for many years.
Sam was an avid model airplane enthusiast and spent his time building, flying and competing in Canada, US and Europe. He belonged to Model Aeronautics Association of Canada and The Flying Aces.
Private cremation has taken place. Private interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo in Spring of 2021. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
