Atkinson, Ruth Sybil
Passed away peacefully at Lisaard House on Monday, September 30, 2019 one month shy of her 96th birthday. Beloved wife of the late William (1999). Loving mother of Robert Atkinson (Monica), Brenda Pop (John) and Barbara Harm (Gerd). Proud Nana of Christina Kroeker (Dave), Craig Atkinson (Mizue), Matthew Pop (Krista), Laura Pop, Hilary Tan (Nicholas) and great-grandmother of Jasmine, Samantha, Mia, Luke, and Rebecca. Recently predeceased by her "forever friend" Pearl Angst. Daughter of the late Minnie (nee Lobb) and Norman Snyder. Dear sister of the late Luella, Phyllis, Lloyd and Everett. Ruth was a member of Trinity United Church, and sang in the choir for 63 years. Special thanks to the caring staff at Lisaard House and Hospice of Waterloo Region.

Ruth's family will receive relatives and friends from 1:30-3:15 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., (519) 749-8467. Memorial service in the chapel on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Private interment Woodland Cemetery.
