Briski, Rudolf "Rudy":
Passed away peacefully at Stirling Heights Long Term Care, Cambridge, on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the age of 85.
Beloved husband of the late Maria Briski (nee Sopcic) (2019). Loving father to Oliver Briski, Helen (Joe Bilicic), and Julia Rickert (nee Briski). Proud 'Grampa' of Mark, Johanna and Kristina Bilicic. Dear brother to Edward, Drago, Micika and Nikola. Predeceased by brothers Andrija, Josip, Mario and sister Danica. Rudy will be missed by his extended family and friends.
Rudy and his wife Maria came to this country in 1958 from Croatia. He worked hard to achieve a better life for him and his family. Rudy will be remembered for his philosophical musings, his larger-than-life character and fighting spirit. Anyone who knew him would call him a legend!
Rudy's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 with Holy Rosary at 8:00 p.m.
Mass will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Holy Family Croatian Church, 180 Schweitzer Street, Kitchener at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
