Obituary for Rosa Wagner

Wagner, Rosa B (nee Woll),
Passed away peacefully in Waterloo in the arms of her children on Thursday, August 1st, 2019. Beloved wife of Erwin Wagner who pre-deceased her on September 20th, 2002. Devoted mother of Michael Wagner (Angela) and Karen Bendik (Henry) both of Waterloo. Faithful grandmother to Daniel Wagner (Heather), Jonathan Bendik (Melanie), Allysha Witt (Jason) and Cassandra Graul (James). Thankful great-grandmother to Aubrey Bendik and Fiona Witt. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Rosa was born and raised in Kitchener Ontario. After graduating from Kitchener Waterloo Collegiate she worked alongside her family and friends at Lancaster Weaving Mills until she became a mother in 1958. Motherhood was her greatest joy as she devoted her life to raising her children, all while supporting her husband Erwin in their extensive activities in the Waterloo Region and around the world in Christian missionary work for the New Apostolic Church. She would be often heard saying that her faith, family and church were her greatest joy. Rosa was always the open heart and listening ear to the forgotten or less popular. She made friends wherever she went and left an unforgettable impression of kindness. With a great sense of humor she loved a good joke and would anxiously wait to share a good laugh. Commonly known for her quiet and unassuming wisdom and uncanny memory for dates, places and names, she was a walking encyclopedia. By her noble deeds and conduct she was special in the hearts of many, and will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Special thanks to the staff of Chartwell Terrace on the Square Retirement Home for their support and incredible kindness during Mum’s 7 year residency.
Friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday August 7th at 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM at the New Apostolic Church 160 Margaret Avenue, Kitchener. Funeral service at 7:00 PM in the Margaret Ave church, conducted by District Apostle Mark Woll.
Flowers can be sent to Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the church's mission fund: NAC Foreign Extension.
