Passed away peacefully at Forest Heights Long Term Care on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the age of 95. Roman was the much loved spouse of Alice (predeceased 2015). Adored by his children John (Gail) and Ann (Jim). He was a beloved grandad, special friend and positive influence to his grandsons Matthew and Michael (Kylie). Proud great-grandfather of Jacob, Jordyn and Jaxon. Special uncle to Krystyna. A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ross Kennel, nurse Dusanka, and the staff at Geiger House in the Forest Heights Long Term Care Facility. The care, love, and respect Roman received in the last seven years was greatly appreciated. We (the Matura family) always felt secure in the fact that Roman was getting the best possible care while in your capable and loving hands. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Visit www.henrywalser.com for Roman's memorial.
