The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rodney Heimpel can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Twister !

One of the memories I have of Rod are his long arms and legs and how he used them to win at Twister we played many times in the basement family room. He was always a strong competitor in everything he did. The Egerdee family reunions and holiday get togethers were always fun times with my cousins. Playing baseball at the local ball diamond or a game of '500' in the open yards or fields were always a challenge (and kind of scary) when Rod came running in your direction to catch or scoop up the ball to get more points. Rod was always happy go lucky, always had a kind word and big smile. Even though we haven't seen him in a long time, we'll all miss him. RIP, Rod ;-(
