Obituary for Rob Krause

Rob Krause
Robert Andreas Krause, born on December 9th 1962, passed away suddenly on August 29th 2019 at his home in Kitchener. He is survived by Jo-Ann, his best friend and loving wife of 33 years, and children Daniel (Lee-Andrea), Rick (Samantha), Meagan (Ian), and Caitlin (Zarley). He was a devoted and proud Opa to Ophelia, Owen, and Hannah. He is sadly missed by his siblings Hans, Bernie, and Annelies, in-laws, many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his mother Anita Krause (née Korsten) and father Egon Krause.

Rob will first and foremost be respected and admired for his unwavering love and support for his beautiful wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, and extended family. This love and support also extended to his favourite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Dedication to sports and arena life was always a priority, never missing a single practice or game for his kids.

Road trips and camping adventures dotted each year for the Krause family. Frequent visits to Algonquin Park and more recently, husband and wife trips to Kincardine brought some of the best family memories.

He will be remembered for his classic Rob jokes and his appreciation for a good German pint. His signature mustache contributed to him often being mistaken for Chris Hadfield, although we know Rob wore it better.

A piece of our heart will always be missing.
