Jones, Robert "Bob"
Passed away suddenly on January 10, 2023 at home with his wife Diane. Bob was 77.
Bob was a doting husband to his wife Diane, a caring ‘Papa Jones’ to his 4 grandchildren (Jake, Nick, Jack and Will) and a loving brother to Donna Pomes of Kitchener. From Bob’s early days at Prueter Public School and his time with the Boy Scouts, to the thousands of hours he spent on the ice playing hockey, “Jonesy” was a true partner, leader, friend and teammate to all those that knew him. If you were on his hockey team, you knew you were skating with a fierce competitor who always had your back. If you were playing against him, you probably learned the hard way to keep your stick to yourself and stay out of the corners.
Those lucky enough to have known Jonesy as a husband, friend, stepfather or papa, knew the true meaning of generosity, kindness and love. He was a sensitive soul, always willing to lend a helping hand and a lover of animals and children, great and small. Jonesy will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Private cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the KW Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
