Innanen, Robert "Bob":

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, Bob passed away on May 24, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 74. Bob leaves behind his beloved bride of 52 years, Brenda, and his three sons, Steve (Sharmila), Derek (Corina) and Rich (Karen). Bob was a proud and wonderful "Pa" to his five grandchildren, Alayna, Myka, Nolan, Maple and Mason. He is survived by his brother, Russell (Kumarie) Innanen and brother-in-law Tom (Lois) McCormick. Bob is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Gladys Innanen and sister Eleanor McArthur. His memory will be cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Bob retired from the Kitchener Fire Department in 2007 after 30 years of service. He was presented with the Ontario Medal for Firefighter Bravery for risking his life in an attempt to save the life of his Captain in 1988. He was an incredibly active man, known for his ability to fix anything he set his hands to. He spent much time with his sons working on many projects. Bob was a passionate Toronto Maple Leafs fan, he spent many nights cheering on his boys in blue. Bob enjoyed camping, boating and spending time at the cottage, not to mention golfing, hockey, curling and a good crossword puzzle.

Bob's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses at both the Cambridge Memorial Hospital and those in the ICU at St. Mary's Hospital.
