Schaus, Rita Bernice (Dec. 26, 1929 - March 31, 2024)
Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital - Freeport Campus on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late John Ostell (1973) and Arnold Schaus (2015). Loving mother of Sue McClure (predeceased 2019), Julie McIntyre, Robert Ostell (Cindy), Sandra Wood (Shelley) and step-mother of Bonnie Bonham (Tom). Proud grandmother of Tyler, Kelsey, Ashley, Ryan, Brittany, Melissa, Andrew (predeceased 2013), Brady (predeceased 2013), Tori and Taylor and step-grandchildren Daniel and Darren. Great-grandmother of 14 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Edna and Roy Hutchinson. Dear sister of Don and the late Ron and Glenn.
Rita's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 p.m.-12:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (519) 749-8467. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
