Condolence: Rhonda and I both started at St. Mary's the same year. I remember the first time meeting her was at the "new teacher meeting." She had an engaging presence, especially for a seasoned teacher. We also joined the Care and Compassion team at SMH. This team was assembled to help students with loss, either of a family member or a student from our community. I remember Rhonda giving feedback about what she learned during her time at Bennies, and she genuinely wanted to help the students. She mentioned that it would be important that we as teachers are notified when a student's family is struggling with loss (or anticipated loss) as we could write them cards of hope and sympathy. She humbly mentioned that a student's mom had passed and she wrote him a card. She knew the student for the most a month, which to me displayed how personable she was with her students. Rhonda absolutely displayed loving like Jesus by loving a "stranger." I do not even know who the student is, but this is just one of the many stories of how she touched her students' lives. Her presence was very important at the meeting, as she came with a goal to just love the students and to love her new school community. To Rhonda's family. I am just aching for your loss. She absolutely had a beautiful spirit. SMH is feeling a great loss as Rhonda made such a great impact on the community. My thoughts and prayers are still with your family.

Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss of an amazing woman and teacher. I taught with Rhonda, shared a room with her and she was an active participant in a teacher retreat that we organized through St. Benedict C.S.S. I can tell you from that experience the amazing light she brought in to any room, always a big smile on her face and a thoughtful and positive mindset. She really went the extra mile for her students and they loved her for it. Every month she would bake a cake and bring in the cake and milk in to celebrate her students birthdays. It made them feel so special and recognized. She modeled for students and her colleagues the importance of building positive relationships and this world was much the better for her being in it. She will be greatly missed. My sincerest of condolences to all of her loved ones.
