With deep sadness we announce the passing of Rhonda De Forest on June 24, 2019, at the age of 56, following a courageous battle with cancer. Rhonda passed peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Rhonda, best friend and beloved wife of Karl De Forest for 25 years. They loved outdoor activities and adventures including camping, fishing, hunting, and canoeing. Family came first. Rhonda was a dedicated teacher with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.

Beloved mother and a role model of courage and determination for their two sons, Chance (Katrina), and Ty. She cherished her grandchildren Chance Jr., Kodah, and Amelia.
Loving daughter of Donna Chicoine and Gerard Chicoine (d. 2018). Dearest daughter-in-law of Beth and Paul Wake.
Sister to Sandra Deseron (d.2018); Daniel (Emily) Chicoine. Sister-in-law to Deanna De Forest and Jerome MacGregor. Caring Auntie to Korian, Erikson, Kyana, Mikaya Deseron; Oren and Stroud MacGregor.
Rhonda will be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins, especially her aunt Sally and cousin Janice, her extended family including Shay Gennings and Chad Gennings. She will be forever remembered for the love and the compassion she gave to all.

The family would like to thank their relatives, special friends, and neighbours who regularly visited, provided food, encouragement and support.

At Rhonda’s request, cremation has taken place. Family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00-3:00 pm & 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, ON N2B 2A5.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Care Centre would be appreciated.
