Condolence: Dear The special family of a special gentleman. The broad smile, the big hello, the warmth of a compassionate heart, and Pastor Jim's hands of tenderness that were always warm and comfortable.

His entire being was comfortable, like an old shoe, because when you put them on, your foundation was sure and and your pilgrimage walk was based on being there before.

When ever we met, his smile slew me, and his genuine greeting was always the same: "HELLO FRIEND." And even without speaking, his message was always the same, humility and love in action. Phil.2: 1-16

Condolence: Dear Adrienne and family,

You are in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead, as you have suffered a great loss. Adrienne, you and your husband were an incredible blessing at Shenstone, when you stepped into ministry, while we were searching for a Pastor. You touched my heart with your love, kindness and commitment to Christ. I will always remember Pastor Reese bursting into song in the midst of his sermon, with that wonderful booming voice of his. What a delight and a blessing! I am looking forward to the day we will all sing together in the presence of our Wonderful Savior! May God fill you with his peace and sustain you until that day.
Love, David and Jacquie Herron

Condolence: Dear Adrienne and Family,

We feel privileged to have had Pastor Jim Reese as OUR Pastor for over 10 years. Trying to adjust to the Canadian culture and having arrived in the middle of a recession wasn’t easy. Pastor Jim’s and Adrienne’s words of encouragement, wise advice and unwavering faith were crucial, when what we saw around us (i.e. people losing jobs and houses) was not at all encouraging. With gratitude we remember those times, and many other occasions that followed, which made the chapter of faith (Hebrew 11) so real to us. Without the support of our immediate family (who was 8,000 kilometers away) we were reminded once again to have “confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrew 11:1). And what better example of faith in action than Pastor Jim and Adrienne Reese! We will be forever grateful and have you in our hearts!

With love,
Sorina and Angelo Ciucurita

Condolence: We were blessed to enjoy the ministry of Jim and Adrienne at West Highland Baptist Church (Hamilton) approximately 10 years ago, where Jim served as the interim-pastor. His messages were always sincere, powerful, and very engaging. Jim had a memorable and gifted talent as a pastor - one of the very best. Our deepest condolences to Adrienne and family at this time.

Condolence: We will always have thanksgivings in our hearts for Pastor Reese. Under his leadership, Benton took on support for us when we served with Trans World Radio, and entertained us in your home. He read Lloyd's poem so meaningfully, "The River Grand," at the funeral of our son, Daniel, and sang, as only he could, "Just think of stepping on shore and finding it heaven." The overall memory of him is his gracious and loving spirit which we were privileged to experience. Our prayers will continue for you, Adrienne, and for your family in the days ahead. What a great helpmeet you were to Pastor Reese!

Condolence: He is going to be missed. What a life you have shared together. So many souls brought to Jesus because you both said “yes” to serve. Goodbye for now. Such a bittersweet moment in time. Much love and prayers to the Reese family as you find your new normal.

Condolence From: David Wilson
Condolence: Dear Family of Pastor Jim,

Blessed to have been under his ministry with Arnold MacNeil back in their Benton St. days I recall my father, Harry Wilson (now with his wife Carol gone on ahead), said to me that Pastor Reeves was to him the most excellent example of humility and someone who did not seek his own - someone as talented as senior Pastor MacNeil who didn't think anything of stepping back and serving wherever necessary with grace and a kindliness that I remember always radiating out of him.

My condolences on the temporary loss of contact with your beloved father and husband in the glorious hope of the reconnection of the Resurrection,

David Wilson
